OVERVIEW
Arizona is one of the premier elk destinations of the West. Elk can be found in a variety of terrain ranging from high desert to the pines, elevations ranging from 5,000 - 10,000 feet! Rocky Mountain elk(Cervus elaphus nelsoni) roam the lands at an astonishing population of about 45,000 head! Elk season begins in September with Early Archery hunts and ends in early December. Through these three months there are several options between archery, muzzleloader, and rifle seasons from early, mid and late seasons. Please contact us with any questions or for application strategies.
Licenses can be obtained online at the Arizona Game and Fish Website (WWW.AZGFD.GOV), or from participating license dealers ( Walmart, Sportsman's Warehouse, ect.). Be sure to buy your AZ hunting license prior to applying for tags/hunts.
